The classic story of Alice in Wonderland, originally written by English author Lewis Carroll, has been reinterpreted in movies and books repeatedly since 1865. As familiar as the story is, we still somehow find ourselves reading and watching the latest adaptation. I suppose that's the greatest thing about Alice in Wonderland... that the allure of the story is in how Wonderland is imagined. The most unique visual interpretation I have come across by far is one by Yayoi Kusama. Her illustrations depict a world unfilled by forests and queens of hearts, but rather abstract explosions of shapes and patterns. via source.
